I am an openly autistic provider and a practicing survivor of PTSD who has been a consumer of EMDR for several years now. It is my sincere desire to educate as many people as possible about trauma and how it impacts the brain, and specifically individuals in the helpng professions. My focus is on assisting individuals in identifying unresolved past traumas and making connections with how those experiences impact present day functioning in relationship to self and others Through reprocessing those events maladaptive patterned behavior diminishes and moves the client to discover new and healthy ways of coping. My approach is trauma informed and integrative in nature meaning the goal is to help my clients make sense of what happened to them and understand how they were impacted and how they can use these experiences to achieve post traumatic growth.
